CPU usage?
I've noticed in task manager (Windows 7 64bit) that Oculusconfigutil.exe*32 is consistently using about 10-15% cpu. I dunno if it should be doing that when it is just hanging out in the background, and my rift is turned off.

- JFlynnHonored GuestSame here. Oculus turned off, cpu usage for the Oculus Configuration Utility is pegged at 14% all the time.
I'm not sure if it was always like that -- I think it's a new thing or I would noticed -- but it's certainly not right! - Scofthe7seasHonored GuestI think it has been always like that. I noticed it using those resources a while back, but figured it was doing something. Only now posting about it because it's still using that much CPU without doing anything.
- spyroExpert ProtegeCan confirm this (25% on a 4 core machine when doing nothing).

Seems better when minimized so it looks like spinlocking when checking the camera state or something.
(See attached log for system information)
spyro - shanecolbertProtegeSomeone should run some CPU benchmark tests with the service running, and stopped :)
- kaetemiHonored GuestNext runtime version will require 6 free cores to spin.
- spyroExpert ProtegeUpdate: Still not fixed in 0.4.1
- Scofthe7seasHonored GuestFixed for me. Could have been related to another issue. Spyro, do you have any problems running things in extended mode? Does your rift detect in the config if it's in extended?
- JFlynnHonored GuestNot fixed for me either. Same CPU usage whenever Oculus Tool is open, even when Rift isn't on.
- SimplySentientHonored GuestAny update on this? I'm still getting high cpu usage like others have described.
- JFlynnHonored GuestIt does go away when you close the tool so it's not super important. It is annoying though, I keep wondering why my fans are spinning up and then realizing I left it open.
