Crescent Bay Screen

Hello Devs, it's quite a milestone for crescent bay to push towards better screen and many speculated Note 4 was use in the demo set. One thing left me bewildered, were there a noticeable green-ish and red-ish colors on the screen?

DK2 (Left)

IPS looking much better.

Crescent Bay?

I hope the screen will be much better than the DK2.. looking at a black mesh with colored pixels inside gets really annoying over time. I understand they next version will have some screen filter to take out the worst of the effect. Still i doubt if Amoled is really the best technology for the job. My HTC m8 IPS screen seems to have the color pixels aligned like a monitor instead of pixels all over the place. With the naked eye that's no problem, but we looks at it with 2 magnifying glasses, that's a whole different story.
  • This is interesting.

One thing that still bothers me however, are the jaggies. This issue is accented with low resolution, but I think actually implementing some AA would help out a lot.

Every 1st generation has limitation., certainly wish CV1 solved jaggies. AA isn't useful for mobile display.
  • Crescent bay doesn't use any smart-phone screen. If you take official photo and try to fit a possible screen inside - you will see it's a 21:9, not a 16:9 screen. So the minimum resolution estimation would be 2560x1080, or maybe it's 3360x1440 (I hope for this in CV1).
