DK2 and CV1

Hi all.  This is a two part question.

Question 1:   What is the latest SDK that the DK2 supports.  Can it be developed with the newest as of Nov 2017, 1.20.0?

Question 2:   When developing with the CV1, does Home need to be installed in order for it to work with developer apps?

The reasons for the questions is that I am trying to determine which headset to go with to begin development for my own personal apps, no intent on distributing.  Preferably I would like to remain offline.

    1)  The DK2 is still supported with the latest 1.20.0 SDK.  Obviously, there are some CV1 features (and Touch, if you don't have that, etc.) you won't be able to utilize, but it's currently completely functional.

    2)  Irrespective of whether you're doing DK2 or CV1 development, any post-commercial release version of the SDK requires the rift runtime, which includes home.

A couple of caveats if going the DK2 route:  While Oculus have been great at continuing to support it with each SDK/runtime release, it's not something you can count on forever.  Further, there have been issues with the latest NVIDIA drivers sometimes having issues with DK2 with older graphics cards, etc.  Given that it's technically "unsupported", you can't really count on fixes coming through fast (if at all).

Even though I'm one of those DK2 developers, running on below-spec hardware, and am still functioning fine, I would highly recommend going the CV1 route, if for no other reason than a guarantee of continued Oculus support.
