DK2 not recognized and Demo Scene not working with 0.7
After upgrading to the 0.7 runtime I'm experiencing the following behavior:
- Boot into windows
- Open Oculus Config Utility, observe that the Rift is not detected
- Reboot, but Rift is still not detected
- Remove Rift USB and reinsert. Rift is detected
- Start Demo Scene
- The Demo Scene Mirror window appears blank (grey) on the monitor.
- The Rift LED is orange and no image appears on the Rift screen.

- cyberealityGrand ChampionSorry, I don't believe your video card is supported. See here:
https://support.oculus.com/hc/en-us/art ... ment-Kit-2 - BradleyNewmanProtegeThat's what I was afraid of, thanks for pointing that out. Looks like the last Oculus Runtime the GTX 570 was compatible with was 0.5.0.1-beta.
For anyone else with the same issue, I may have a workaround for Unity 5.1.3f1 (haven't tested much):
- Download and install Oculus Runtime for Windows V0.5.0.1-beta
- Download the Unity 4 Integration V0.5.0.1-beta
- Import OculusUnityIntegration.unitypackage into Unity 5.1.3f1
- Choose to upgrade the package to the new API
- Fix error in OVRShimLoader.cs by changing line 52 from:
#if (UNITY_5_0)
to:
#if (UNITY_5_1)
The consumer Rift min specs recommends at least a GTX 970: https://www.oculus.com/en-us/blog/the-rifts-recommended-spec-pc-sdk-0-6-released-and-mobile-vr-jam-voting/. In light of the controversy surrounding the GTX 970's VRAM: http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-ceo-addre ... ntroversy/, I'm wondering if Oculus has tested the GTX 970 when the VRAM exceeds 3.5 GB? I'm planning on getting a 980 just in case there are issues. - cifreHonored GuestWhat about the Nvidia Quadro K1000M? Since I updated to sdk 0.7 I'm having the same problem as Bradly
- SalbroxExplorerYes we cannot get it to work with our Quadro's in the office either.
- cyberealityGrand ChampionQuadros may or may not work. Only consumer graphics are officially supported.
- DSenterHonored GuestIs there any work around for the Quadro cards?
- OculusPrimaHonored GuestI went to Oculus Configuration Utility -> Advanced Configuration -> Reset Tracking Center for Oculus Runtime 0.7.
It started working properly.
