DK2 Sudden Hardware failure
Anyone have the same Problem?
My DK2 was working fine until:
The DK2 all of a sudden has no Image, only orange LED. The camera is working fine. the Headset is being detected, and i see the mirror Image on my Computer Monitor and head-tracking works ok.
I tried direct mode and external mode, changed Drivers and SDK´s, changed the usb and hdmi cable, updated Firmware (again).
At the end i formatted the PC and installed all new, still not working, same outcome as before.
I took the HDMI plug that goes into the DK2 and plugged it in an external Monitor, here i can see an Image so the HDMI Signal is
reaching the DK2 ok.
Now the only conclusion is that my DK2 has a faulty Motherboard.
Question: if the (note3) Display is broken does that has any influence on the blue LED? is there somekind of checking Routine from the mainboard to determine the state of the Display ?
Question 2: where do i get a Mainboard for my DK2?
Anyway thanks to all.
Hoping to get somekind of answer to help me out.
;)

- paulmisaacProtegeNot a hardware failure. Oculus have just updated their software by the looks of things so now DK2s won't work. I've got a lovely expensive house brick that used to be a VR head set.
- whitav8ProtegeMy DK2 is working fine with (1.8.0.278624). I did have to reboot so I didn't have a black screen.
- lmbvlHonored GuestHey, can someone please help me? I`m trying to use my DK2 VR set again after 4 months idle. I`ve formatted my notebook on that time, but now I have installed the newest (NVidia) video card driver and also the runtime tool 1.8.0.278624. But the VR device seems to be dead! Only orange led and no HDMI signal. Windows 10 is not detecting it as a monitor anymore. I can`t believe it turned to an expensive house brick too!
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
