Maybe a corrupt firmware file? Try the file from the 0.4.0 download and see if it installs.

I updated today too, had same problems but managed to do it in the end.

DK2 has a fail safe mode, so no matter what you do during the installation of the firmware, you can not ruin your DK2.

But I would suggest you keep using firmware 2.10 (gonna make a thread about why)

The DK2 is not detected by the config tool except as a "Boot Rift DK2" and I cannot update the firmware at all at the moment.

If you know of a way to revert the thing to factory settings, please let me know!

I uninstalled the existing Oculus Runtime and Positional Tracking driver.
I downloaded the 0.4.0 runtime.
Installed 0.4.0 runtime.

I was able to successfully update the firmware back to 2.11 with the firmware included in 0.4.0.

I can only write 2.12, 2.11 gets me a write error. HMD won't get detected unless I keep the power button pressed for more than 10 seconds. In that mode yellow led is blinking and Device Manager gets a new Generic USB Hub, still No Device Attached message (and the Oculus Configuration Utility displays Model as Boot Rift DK2). Tried all SDKs, all available usb ports on 2 PCs and 1 mac, without success. :(
