Facebook/OCULUS FUND

Facebook committed $250 million last October to specifically fund VR content in addition to a previous $250 million pledged by Oculus.

My Questions:
Responsible person for the fund.
How to apply for the fund?
where on the oculus site can i read more about it?

  • The question is in regards to the money allotted to fund developers, so it is a development question.

Thanks Cybereality for validating it as a development question. Could you also provide an answer as well given that you're the Oculus Staff? Is there a way to apply for these funds as a game studio/developer or is the process reversed where Oculus will seek out studios to fund?

Actually I would be interested in knowing the answer to that as well :)

From my own experience, you should contact directly to Oculus "Developer Strategy" member, either one:

    Nick Suttner
    Developer Strategy @ Oculus
    https://twitter.com/nsuttner

    Callum Underwood
    Senior Developer Strategy @ Oculus
    https://twitter.com/DevRelCallum

Example send them private message over twitter and explain your situation, after short discussion next step is to send email explaining things more detailed with game pitch and of course providing game demo. Things should move forward on it's own pace after that.

Nick and Callum should be able to forward things to right direction (would it be funding related or not).
