Firmware Upgrade w/o Windows?

I'm about to get my DK2 - I have a Mac laptop and a Linux PC that I'll be deving with. Ignoring the lack of 0.4 SDK, is there any way for me to update the firmware w/o a Windows machine? Do the current batch of DK2s require an OOTB update?

    Hello! An update isn't required at this time but you'll have to wait for the upcoming Mac and Linux release.
