Free-walking system?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there's any kind of free-walking system like Brantlew's Red Rovr out there or in the making?
I'm not experienced enough to try and make my own and would looove to walk around in video games outside of my house, and show it off to people at random conventions/gatherings to spread the VR-hype here in Sweden.

  • i would know why his system would not work, long as you have the USB Power to run the Oculus.

Looked pretty cool, and as long as his system supports DVI or HDMI out to the goggles it should work after you integrate his inertia movement into the system you want to explore.

  • This might be fun in the Salt Flats or somewhere similar, but I can't imagine doing it in a public park or anywhere else with other people or obstacles. Just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

When I wrote that I was thinking of pretty flat park here in Stockholm where there aren't any people and no trees either ;)
