Games with a "Being John Malkovich" experience

Could you imagine if you could live an episode of Dexter, but you didn't talk, your character just kind of talks and takes over control of your view at certain points like being in John Malkovich in that movie. That would be a cool way to go I think.

That could be possible I guess.
But you must create some kind of feeling, that simulates a force, if the player moves the head somewhere else. Like a shudder.
  • you mean if the in game character's head moved something would try to move the players actual head? I think you could do it pretty good without that, but moving your head differently than the camera breaks immersion probably, it could probably still be cool.

Yeah it could be cool - i didn't meant a actual device - just a effect, when you move your head to the right for example - it would move the characters head also, but only a little and then it would shake the picture - like a fight between you and the character. At the end the head is again there where it suppose to be.
No idea if that could work - could also be just awful - its only a thought :)
  • hmm, that sounds more like an amizingly scary horror game effect, like you see something really scary and go to look away, but you can't!! People will be throwing their Rifts off their heads.
