Go not recognized by PC when developer mode is switched on

Anyone encountered this issue? The Go is recognized by the PC when developer mode is switched off, however as soon as developer mode is toggled on in the app the Go disappears. Is this a known problem and is there a fix? If tried factory resetting and that has not worked.
