HD Camera for augmented reality..
I am wondering, what would be a good choice of HD cameras (2) to put on a physical head model (or in front of the HMD if you want) that would have the correct fov and at the same time, best fps, light sensitivity etc.. ?
I tried using two cheap webcams but it simply is not the solution, but ok for development.
Thanks!

- mrjazzHonored GuestBest solution: GoPro Hero3+ in the 1440p30-mode (largest field of view (about 153 degrees diagonally) and best resolution) connected to a frame grabber like the epiphan dvi2usb. (720p60-mode smoother, but smaller vertical field of view)
Good solution: Smartphone with fisheye-lens adapter running an ip-camera app. The best app for the iPhone for this purpose you will find is this one:

I may have to play with lenses to get the correct fov and probably will have to go with 720p if I can't find higher res..
Although, the gopro hero3 would be an ideal choice if only smaller. - AnonymousThe latency in the video pipeline is usually the kiss of death for projects like this.
Without haphazardly blowing money on cameras - are there any out there with a proven track record that won't induce migraines or sickness? :P
