Help with DIY Omni Directional Treadmill
I'm planning to build an Omni Directional Treadmill soon. I already have some ideas, but have some issues also.
Issue #1: Support Ring
I'm trying to make a ring based on [Cyberith Virtualizer's] (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1259519125/cyberith-virtualizer-immersive-virtual-reality-gam) design, with a climbing harness in the middle. However, I don't know how this can be accomplished easily and cheaply while still allowing sitting, crouching, and rotation.
Issue #2: Tracking
I have two PS Move Motion Controllers available, and I'm wondering if I can use these with FreePie to detect movement on the Z axis. If not, I can probably buy some Wiimotes, but I would prefer to not have to.
If I can get a functional model, I'll post an Imgur album.

- DieKatzchenHonored GuestThe Playstation move controller doesn't deal well with occlusion. I mean, it does better than most, but it's still a visual tracking system. There's only so much you can do.
- bbeast10Honored GuestThat makes sense, but is it possible to use the gyro data instead of using the PS Eye?
- DieKatzchenHonored GuestOh, certainly, but if you're going to be making a support rin that goes up and down you'd be better off using sensors in the guide rails like cyberith does.
