Helpful Guides?
I am a somewhat newer programmer looking to get into developing in Unity. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good guides to creating a VR game form the ground up in Unity. I have a DK2 coming and am looking to get into Unity and want to make some test stuff for my OR. Any advice?

- cyberealityGrand ChampionEven though this book is a little old now (for Unity 3) I think it was top notch:

Here is another one that is decent (and more recent):

If you are total beginner (limited coding experience) this is an OK introduction to C#:

This one is more of an overview, not great but a quick read:

- cyberealityGrand ChampionUnfortunately there are not many modern books about VR development.
Seeing all the action with VR these days, I'm sure that won't be a problem for long. - jhericoAdventurer

Oculus Rift in Action is a book on developing software for the Rift. Chapter 12 is devoted to Unity, although it does assume some knowledge of the Unity platform. Currently the book is unreleased but is available through the Manning Early Access Program and the Unity chapter is one of those currently available for download.
The author of the chapter has also written a blog post on Unity and the Rift: http://rifty-business.blogspot.com/2014/04/unity-pro-4-using-ovrcameracontroller.html - cyberealityGrand Champion@jherico: Sorry, I didn't think your book was finished yet or I would have mentioned it.

It's not finished, but you can buy it and read the unfinished parts as they're produced.
