How many development platforms are there?

I'm trying to pick the right engine to start experimenting with, and I couldn't find a definitive list. I got the following list from Google...


  • Raw C++ directly into the SDK (I presume this is how the demos that ship with the SDK are implemented)

  • Unity Engine

  • Unreal Engine

  • HTML / Javascript (various experimental options)

  • MassiveEngine

  • Torque

  • OGRE
