How to implement barrel distortion in c4d animations?

Does anyone have an idea of the best way to go about this? I rendered this short animation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSqrSaOfeqg) and combined the left and right channels easily enough, but without the distortion it's definitely lacking. I would like my end product to simply be a movie file. My inclination is that I'm going to need a script that uses the API to distort each frame but I'm not sure this is correct and don't really know where to start with creating the script. Any help would be appreciated.

  • What people have been doing so far is usually rendering out into a standard SBS 3D format (like you have done) and then opening the video file in a VR video player (there are several). This will handle the distortion, but also has the added benefit of head-tracking (which is not possible on YouTube at the moment).

Ahhh I see. Thanks! I got total cinema 3d and it's performing the distortion, but I'm having trouble with the playback. Any recommendations on the best players for mac?
