Hydra in TF2 or other FPS tested yet?
It seems to me like using the right hand Hydra controller as your gun might be pretty cool with the Rift. I might even make an attachment for that stick that makes it feel more like a gun and trigger.
The left hand would be used like a console controller for movement, changing weapons, reloading, etc., etc.
Has anyone tried this with a Rift and Hydra yet? If so please post feedback! I'm trying to decide whether or not to invest in a Hydra.

- jarederajHonored GuestIt doesn't seem like the Hydra is going to be the official controller for the Rift, but it's only $40 on Woot right now.

Even if the Hydra isn't the official controller something like it probably will be. If you're developing, it's probably worth having it at whatever price. - KuraIthysHonored GuestSeems like TF2 is a pretty good tesbed here.
I heard it was pretty broken, but TF2 is on the list of games that has 'proper' Hydra support. (You know; Actual motion sensing integrated directly into the game code, rather than just a game profile written for it to map certain control functions to mimic keyboard/joystick or mouse commands.)
I don't know what exactly it's configured to do in TF2 though... But you should have a look if you can find the hydra patch for it...
