I want to build against windows 10
Hi Oculus.
So your reveal today was pretty great. Sounds like windows 10 and DX12 will work "out of the box" with the rift. I want to have a product ready for the CV1 release - sooo... where's our drivers?
Windows 10 is out in 39 days. I've had my DK2 for months and months. I'm probably the first person in the world outside of your organization to have the DK2 running on DX12 drivers.
For the love of VR please just update the runtime.

- lamour42Expert ProtegeAbsolutely right.
Please, Oculus, let us run DK2 on Win 10 and DX12. I hope that with Win 10 being official in a month also DirectX 12 development will be fully supported and we can start migrating our Rift code to DX12. - MartinspireHonored GuestI hope it too, but seeing the CV release won't be until next year i doubt they will speed up development to reach the Win10 release. They only need it for DK2 and i don't see them releasing official support any time soon. Would like it, but highly doubt it.
- cyberealityGrand ChampionWindows 10 support is coming, but it's not 100% working right now. It may be best to wait a little longer until things are ready (especially considering that Win 10 isn't even out yet).
- lamour42Expert ProtegeWith Windows 10 around the corner I hope there is more info available now?
Will Oculus Rift SDK be available for DirectX12 once Microsoft releases the final DirectX 12? Or will it come later?
Will DK 2 be supported? It would really be a shame if we would have to wait for CV1 to do DirectX12 development for the Rift.
When do you expect the runtime to be ready for Win 10? I guess many of us are eager to migrate our dev PCs to Win 10. It would be unfortunate if we would have to wait because Rift support is not ready.
Thanks! - radimotoExplorerAs Windows 10 has now gone RTM, it would be nice to know if we will have support on day 1, or whether we are looking at weeks or months to wait. Even just an estimate of the time frame would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
- lamour42Expert ProtegeMicrosoft today not only released Win 10, but also finalized their DirectX12 documentation and provided several working samples.
So everything is set up for Windows 10 / DirectX12 development - if only there would be an oculus driver... ;)
