INPUT need INPUUUTTT
If you got the subject title joke, you are awesome.
Anyway, reading LOTS of reviews, I see the Delta 6 controller is complete crap.
What should I get for my Oculus?
I have a ton of games and love using it, but want to take it to the next level. I don't care about walking, for now, but want a way to control my hands in a game.
SO
Has anyone used kinetic (SDK 2.0 is out)?
Should I go with the simple razor?
I am also looking at the other choices but there are so many.
Thanks.

- MikeFTrusteeJust wait. There's nothing out there thats widely supported by developers and delivers what you want.
Stem maybe, if it ever gets released - ZeroWaitStateHonored GuestJohny 5 rocks the house.
i was going quote 1000 pardons .... but i'll leave thqat one alone.
I have some razor hydra atm and they seem the most widely supported non vision system based input method for the mean time.
Spec wise stem is superior but lets see it out in the wild and get some more feedback.
Neuron might be an interesting alternative as you can attach them to anything plactic gun sword want etc. but will want some thing that can send a trigger / select signal into your environment.
Kinect two also seems interesting especially now they have dropped the distinction between xbox and windows versions i have a couple of kinect ones and they are fun but lack the fidelity to be really useful (other than learning what the issue with the tech are) i am in the process of tossing up on a couple of kinect 2 if i can get them at the right price. The main problem is (unless ive missed some thing recently that the dont have finger tracking cracked ).ok for fist open fist closed but not hi fidelity pinch zoom context stuff
if it a choice between nothing and something for the next 6 months it might be worth a few hundred , the mic array and voice recognition in those are pretty nifty too.
There is a lot of people sitting on the fence waiting to see what OVR have in mind for input on release - serrarensHonored GuestI'm awesome!
Razer Hydra is for me the best option right now. The downside is that they aren't sold anymore.
STEM would be better, but I am not counting on it being available soon... too bad.
The second best option right now is Kinect 2 and you can improve it by combining it with Leap Motion. When your hands are no longer tracked by Leap, Kinect will take over. Leap Motion alone: I am not recommending that. Tracking range is just oo limited.
But the real question is: how do you want to use it? Most games won't support those devices out of the box. If these anything supported, it is usually: Razer Hydra again.
