Interesting input device combo
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/70308014/kings-assembly-a-computer-mouse-full-of-awesome?ref=category
This looks interesting I would like to see this get up. its not hard to spend a few hundred on a slick mouse KB combo.
Obviously one of the hardest issues with wearing the rift is seeing the devices you need for input, in this situation one located all controls are at hand so to speak. I am not a great touch typer but this may be a way to input text in rift which would be handy for coding and development.
I am all for 1 to 1 body tracking etc. and the potential is promises. but at some point we still need to keep coming back to the super efficient interface that KB and mouse allow. I have a Kinect windows and used the leap motion, truth is the gross movements get tiresome fairly quickly.(don t get me wrong they have their place) for some thing that your going to work in 8 hrs. a day etc. we need some thing like this devise, I think it shows promise.
OVR could well do with a assessment of this device and a help it over the KS line with some of the reach goals (wireless anybody) we really need some kind of tool that will allow really fine granular control of user interfaces in rift.

- ZeroWaitStateHonored GuestAs a follow up these guys smashed their funding goal . And will be developing a wireless system, each unit will also have yaw function allowing for grasp and twist type control of objects .
I'm thinking full KB access two analog joy sticks two independent mice controllers and key that can be very flexibly mapped = a pretty potent input device
I suppose if each had a stem socket / cradle the would readily locate able in rift.
I'm surprised their were no comments on this initial post either positive or negative .... For me this is one of the more flexible input devices coming to market.
