Inward-Focussed, 360 3D Video Capture & Stitching

Question

Is anyone working on a array of cameras facing inward to capture video and stitch the streams into a 360 degree INWARDLY focused view? An example for still images is http://xxarray.com, but I'm hoping to find someone doing 3D video, targeting the Rift as a display.

Can't the xxarray just swap out the still cameras for video cameras? Then we'll be able to do stuff like this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhFtfYMm3Y4  :D
