Is it safe to update to Nvidia official driver?

On the landing page for the Oculus SDK we are referred to the GameWorks VR Driver Support page to download NVIDIA's Windows driver version 358.78 with beta support for GameWorks VR. But I saw that ...

It's recommended to stick with the VR supported driver for the best compatibility.

While the latest public driver may work, we haven't done enough testing with it to confirm support.
