Is it safe to update to Nvidia official driver?

I'd posted on Reddit and I got some varied responses: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comment ... hough_its/. I'm still not clear if VR dev is on a branch that's consistently merged into their main releases or not but FWIW I didn't have any problems on 358.87.
