is razer always this bad?
Long story is long...:
1. $50 off a Razer Hydra for being a Oculus rift owner, Nice!
2. I attempt to order the Razer w/portal but web page is messed up. Contact support
3. learn its because the item is out of stock, told by support to order it w/o portal
4. Order it W/o Portal for $50+12 in S&H after the $50 discount
5. Review it on Amazon, only to learn Amazon has both in stock AND its about the same price, $63 w/no shipping for prime!
6. Meh thats life.
7. several days later receive an email from Razer saying its back ordered, and to email them if I want to cancel. Really?
8. Cancel.
9. receive an email from Razer saying its cancelled, and that I can ignore the email confirmation about it shipping as "You may still receive an order confirmation email since this is generated as soon as the order is completed."
10. Think hard about if I really want to order one with these kinds of things going on.
11 Watch that sweet demo of the Razer and oculus again....
12. Order it with Portal from Amazon...but the price has gone up. grr...Razer cost me $. grr.
13. Receive a email from Razer which I ignore (See #9)
14. Today I receive it....without Portal....From Razer. Who had told me to ignore the email....which says they attempted to cancel...but couldn't. Mind you..I cancelled on the 31st, and was told it was cancelled that day....and They emailed me saying they couldn't on the 3rd....So I will receive the Amazon one tomorrow.
Anyone else having these sorts of issues with Razer, or heard about stuff like this? ie are they known for things like this? Or did I just get the bad side of an edge condition? I've emailed them about this, but haven't heard back yet. Looks like I now have two of them lol....well..not as much :lol: lol, more :evil: grrr.

- ishistHonored GuestI've been using Razer products for years and I've never has a single issue related to build or design quality. That said, in the last 2 years the shipping and customer support has gotten so astonishingly bad that I'm convinced that razer was bought out and now run by the Great Old Ones. That is actually Shoggoth answering your emails.
- KuraIthysHonored Guest... Clearly my mistrust of the 'digital river' name has some truth to it.
I bought something from a different company, but it also appeared to be handled by 'digital river', and the customer service was equally bad. (and somewhat incompetent.)
A bit worrying that they appear to be spreading... - greywar777Honored GuestHey on the plus side I actually got a voicemail this morning from digital rivers tier 2 escalation support. They left a message for me to call. But what exactly do they think they could do? Ahh..from the voicemail...apparently if you actually complain they will ship you a shipping label. Yeah no. That ship has sailed.
