most things are built for 4.4 and I've been using 5.0.1 (on windows 10 no less, with an AMD card) on amd's beta video drivers (using wddm 1.3) and I have yet to have a single oculus demo not work.
There is some talk that UE stuff built before 4 ignores ipd settings. That's all I've heard, and I can't say I've experienced it.
Every oculus app with direct mode works. (most) oculus apps work in extended desktop, some I have to alt+enter or winkey+shift+rightarrow to move to the correct monitor, but that's it.
It's worth noting that I also have a monitor that is 1920x1080 75hz - not having my monitor at 75hz while in extended mode causes significant issues with FPS and judder on all but the newest demos, but modern stuff like New Retro Arcade and Technolust, or running from UE4 and Unity 5 in things I've made personally are nice and smooth.
