Is the DK2 the one to buy?
im planning on buying a oculus rift, but im pretty confused about it, so i have some questions. Can you only buy development kits? I cant find any place where it doesent say development kit. I dont ...

The oculus rift is not a consumer ready product yet. These developer kits are constructed for those who will make virtual reality games or are simply interested how they are going to be implemented.
So the real version is not released yet, you will probably have to wait a year, but fear not there is mostly just simple demos out and not many full games support it yet. This is why they release developer kits, so that we developers can adopt out games so they are ready when the oculus rift is ready.
There is also early adopters, people who enjoy playing these demos and pay alot of money just to play a few demos. But if you want more and you want you investment to last I would say wait a year.
The reason why they charge more on ebay is because the supply is having trouble meeting the demand when it comes to developers. Developers or people not afraid spending money will buy kits very much more than oculus sells them for because they want it now, not in 2 months.
