Ive got the Dk2 version of Oculus, What runtime drivers should i be using?

I have not yet bought the full version of oculus, but since i have not been testing out the Dk2 version i bought in a while back, i am not sure what runtime drivers to use. I tried installing the full version runtime software but it says somethings are not supported when i am in the studio, i can see the fire Place and the menus but i cant seem to interact with it, also it says its not fully supported, so i would like to know whats the latest runtime program to use for the DK2.

  • You should be able to interact with it (I'm also using DK2 with runtime 1.3 -- just ignore the warnings).   Unfortunately you need to have an Xbox (compatible) controller, which can be wired or wireless, Xbox 360 or Xbox One.  I bought a cheap "clone" that supports XInput and it worked fine.  I'd previously tried to get the Oculus Home and apps to work with a PS3-style (DirectInput) controller, using the "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" software (you need to start dropping DLLs in all kinds of directories where the executables are located).  I had some luck, eventually, but it was a real nuisance that didn't work in all cases, and was frustrating enough to make me just go buy a cheap XInput controller.
