Just Got my Oculus

Just got my DK2 - completely new to VR and just wondering if someone can talk me through how to get it working (do I need to install some software? - read some games need some workarounds but want to try a few games to begin with?
1)Elite
2)Half Life 2 on steam (I read you need to install a Steam VR patch?)
3)Asseto Corsa
4)Project cars
5)Live for speed
6)DCS (again on steam)
Can someone let me know how exactly to get them running?

    also at the moment I will just be trying some demo's - so do I just need the runtime installed or do I need to install the latest SDK 0.4.1? - I am reading that a lot of demos appear to only work with an older SDK and therefore need an update or work around so do you really need the SDK just to run them? (sorry for my basic questions!)
