Lidar and stereoscopic
Hi
I want to explore the Lidar way of doing 3D reconstruction of a "set" for VR, i know some rigs use those scanner as the NextVr one ( 16 Red Dragon and one Lidar Scanar ). I know it should work great for static environment but, if you want to have characters in those it might be problematic. Want to test an hybrid way of lidar for the environment ( perfect stitch) and 3d cards with stereoscopic footage ( two red epics ) of characters on them. And then render a stereo output from game engine or 3d package.
Would it be possible? i m pretty sure i'm entering a lot of "matching' for the stereo alignement of the footage and perspective perfect of the scan, anyone have tried those kind of techniques and want to share the the pros and cons?
Best regards
Jeremie.

- SchnittlauchHonored GuestSounds good,
we need a 3xLidar Laser able to scan 60fps,
3x Gopro 360 Rigg on top of it
and a Unreal Engine4 Account to check it out,
Is there a 60fps Laserscanner out there for an affordable price?
