Many jumps image when you turn the head.
Learning this product (DK2), as an investor and developer of games. I can not understand a few problems. I would be very grateful for answers!
1) In some applications, turning the head, there are jumps. Jumps a lot. Strong flicker. And it is not in every application. For example, in The Great River or Cyberspace. Easy to turn and immediately jumps. Only when turning. This problem applications or hardware? All have this problem?
2) The problem in dark scenes. In dark scenes do not have a smooth gradient colors. The image has a strong contrast between black and another color. It looks very unpleasant. However, this is normal and all have this problem?
Tested on ASUS ROG G750JH (supporting 3d), i.e. productivity and low possibilities of the equipment I have excluded.
Many thanks in advance for your answers!
And of course, Oculus is fantastic!

- richardrscHonored GuestI have found two things from the forum which have eliminated your first issue from most demos - it was pretty horrible before I found them, hope they work for you.
1. Making a shortcut to the directtorift executable and adding the following switch -force-d3d11
2. Using this to 'unpark' your cpu http://www.coderbag.com/programming-c/disable-cpu-core-parking-utility
HTH. - cyberealityGrand ChampionCan you make sure the camera has enough room to view the headset. You may have to move back a little in your chair to get the best tracking. Also, if you take a video that may more clearly show the problem. In general, this is not normal.
- korborHonored GuestThank you so much for the detailed answers.
For the second problem found variant. Helped restart the service (menu tools). Probably buggy profile settings colors. Buggy is unpredictable, but once it shows. The scenes are very vivid. Sometimes it's beautiful. When a scene is not dark. )))
On the first issue, I will try and write about it. But it is clear that the problem with the frequency. For example at 75 in some applications is jumping. At 60 they are almost not visible. But also problem remains. Although it may be the frequency of 60 - this is a problem :) - korborHonored Guest

Hello again.
I agree with you - "In general, this is not normal"
However, the question. I have a very powerful computer (above parameters).
Ie and video card GeForce GTX 780 4GB. I thought the graphics will fly!
This is a problem rendering graphics for adaptation to OCULUS?
Ie This rendering requires a lot of resources?
I have a computer support 3D vision. In any game graphics fly at maximum graphics settings (120 frames per second)!
However, in Unity and Ureal Engin (4.5.1, 4.6. Preview) even simple scenes greatly reduce FPS (20-40)!
For example, the standard Unreal scene where empty, only white cubes (without textures and materials).
Why? It's weird, right?
PS on forums people write that it is necessary a powerful graphics card. But where more powerful than 780 4GB?
(there are more powerful, but about general consumers can then forget)
HUGE PLEASE answer!
PS
You not know when planning to produce a quantum computer? ;) - cloneExplorerTry to change your monitor resolution to any that supports 75Hz refresh frequency.
If not possible make your Rift the primary screen (when used in extended mode).
There are several bugs arround (like v-sync problems) when the primary screen is not at 75Hz.
Direct mode seems also somehow messed up concerning performance. :( - korborHonored Guest

Thanks for the reply.
Make custom settings (resolution) and set the frequency of 75Hz.
It does not help :(
I wrote earlier about a simple demo game The Great River.
Elementary scene! Minimum effects!
But twitches constantly!
In the settings were also sync settings (below).
I left the auto.
May be need to change something? - richhard1ProtegeI'd try an alernatve demo. The great river doesn't run at very high FPS even with my setup. It's all in the coding!
