mobile phone into a tilt gamepad
Hello all,
I got a package together to turn an iOS device into a virtual analog stick.
http://hoverpad.wtf
It only works on Macs + iOS. i know that's a very small group of us (I'd love to expand it). The goal is to keep everything cheap, and explore alternative ways of capturing motion.
very interested to see if it's at all effective! :) thanks
EDIT: it is working for the Tuscany demo

- lmaceleightonHonored GuestLooks awesome! Too bad it MAC only :O( Think you could compile a Windows copy? I was going to try to use this as a tracking combined with an Arduino for other button input in a Gun setup. I have Mac's just not powerful ones that will run the Rift.
- gridpaperHonored Guesthey! that's a great idea about the Arduino!! You could build a whole fleet of controllers. Oh! Imagine a flex sensor in a glove, and you can trigger an invisible gun, then you don't have to make a gun
I wish so bad I could do Windows. And linux too. I was thinking of tackling the Android release soon, otherwise it's going to take me a long time to get proficient enough to do stuff like bluetooth in a Windows env. The code is all open and up on github, that's something I usually do, but in this case it's also a gesture to say if anyone wanted to contribute that'd be awesome!
