Need Oculus Touch testers for Rec Room
Hi all,
We are bringing Rec Room (which has been out on Steam for a few months) to Oculus.
Rec Room is a virtual reality social club where you play active games (like Paintball, Disc Golf, Dodgeball, Charades, etc.), and is a touch-required experience.
We'd love to get some more people testing with Touch and giving us feedback on the tweaks we're making to ensure Rec Room is great on Oculus. Specifically, we're doing two things to support the predicted typical Oculus Touch setup (two sensors on either side of desk, yielding a kind of "almost room scale" tracking volume):
Thanks!

- Tracking blinders - we dim the world as you turn too far away from the sensors. This is intended to be a clear but non-disruptive cue that leads you back to the correct (real world) facing.
- Rotation tweaks - this one is kind of hard to summarize, but we're iterating fast on a bunch of options that assist the user in staying correctly oriented towards the sensor. Our current philosophy is to bake the tweaks into our existing teleport mechanic.
Thanks!

- NZNewsboyHonored GuestHappy to help :)
- DietcolaHonored GuestIs there a way to disable the "Tracking Blinders" as they really ruin the experience when you have your cameras configured in the Experimental 360 degree setup.
- LookUpToTheHeavHonored GuestAgreed that when the movement is set to front facing only, the view to the back being really darkened makes a quick look behind you hard to make out other people quickly (especially in paintball). If it was a warning about being reversed (like a couple lines or something to point you back the right way) then that might be better.
- WickedManateeProtegeThere was a way to disable it in options. I forgot the setting now, but it wasn't hard to find
- AdralineHonored GuestIs it still possible to get in on this testing? I am getting my touch controllers tomorrow in the mail and would love to get involved!
- Patmike25Honored GuestIs the testing still active. Would love to help out as i know how hard developing for Touch is.
