nodes with spacial awarness

I find it very difficult to Google what I'm looking for. Are there solid nodes that can calculate their distance and movement compared to a group nodes in different locations without use of ir. For example if I was to put one on my head and one in each hand and have them all linked to a chip to gather relative distance from each other in 3 d space. Or at least the distance the hands are from the head and each hand from each other. I'm thinking magnetic possible.
