Oculus app not working / black window / rendering?
Hi guys,
I was trying to install the PC App today. The installation worked quite fine. The moment when the VR says to establish the link in the VR and the rest have to be done on the Computer, my Oculus App starts.

I've updated the NVidia graphics driver and repaired the Oculus app. What else can I do? My firewall is off and there is no Virus Defender installed, the active Virus control from Windows is off.

EDIT2: Use Oculus Tray Tool to restart or kill the service, works fine for me, while troubleshooting back and forth.

We have a solution guys. Strikekat from discord posted a zipped file to downgrade the client version and it works!
- You will need to download this file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dprJ7QxIzyzb4jZC-H-fQ_sRzOVCFA62/viewI have downloaded it myself, its around 580MB.
- Then, use something like Oculus Tray Icon (https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/5okoju/oculus_tray_tool/) to kill the oculus service.
- Then replace the files in your C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support folder with those from the zipped file and voila!
- After that, restart oculus app and it should work.
- After the full setup process, you might need to uninstall and install it again to have the latest version! But then it should work properly!

I am having the exact same issue with the app. haven't even gotten to set up my Rift S yet.
Exact same issue. Spent 30 minutes uninstalling and reinstalling but it sounds like a back end issue.
Same issue here. Been working on this all night.
Good to know I'm not the only one. Been trying to troubleshoot this software for the past couple of hours. Decided to finally check the "official forums". So I'll just check back here when they have a solution. Oh! And I found out this software installation broke my Spotify. So I am currently in the process of fixing that. Anyone else have other programs crash/break after trying to install this Oculus setup?
Also having the SAME exact issue. been trying to find answers everywhere for the last 4 hours. just got my First VR headset today with the Rift S and havent been able to enjoy it. im glad im not the only one with this issue. i sent in a ticket to support and im hoping to get some sort of answer

It Hurts me, but also brings me peace that it's not just an issue i'm having...
