Oculus Display bug?
Hi !
Sorry for my bad english,
I've recieved my DK2 last week, and played lot of demos, just click on direct_to_rift.exe and enjoy,
but, this morning, saw an amazing guy playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 with G27 and DK2. I bought it.
Everywhere on the internet it's said to put -oculus in start options on steam and add Oculus Beta too.
The problem is, my display on the rift is splitted, i see 2 same screen, like if i launched a direct_to_rift.exe demo on my monitor (2 screens). I can't play..
Help please

- cyberealityGrand ChampionAre you using the Nvidia 347.09 driver? There was a double-image bug in there. Update to 347.25.
Otherwise can you list you OS version, GPU type and video driver version? - skyrogueHonored Guest

I'm using an AMD GPU.. Thought this was a driver issue so i updated him but this change anything...
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium,
GPU: Radeon R7 260X
Driver Version: 14.502.1002.0 (Date: 23/12/2014) - skyrogueHonored GuestJust Bought vorpx.
This don't change anything...
Anyone ? - cyberealityGrand ChampionI'm unsure of what you are seeing. Can you twist the lens off and take a photo for me?

Ok, for example, when i'm on Portal 2 Home Page, (where there's Play -singleplay, Play Multiplayer, settings, quit game,...) this "HUD" is double.. I see on each eye the same Home Page but twice.. One left and one right.. Head tracking is perfect, 3D too, but i see a double image.
I'll upload a screenshot as soon as possible. - cyberealityGrand ChampionI wasn't aware that Portal 2 was a supported game.
Can you try the Oculus Tuscany or the Config Util demo scene. - skyrogueHonored Guest

Here's my problem. All the demos i've tested (Tuscany, Rift Coaster, skyDIEving, don'tLETgo, From Ashes, CyberSpace,...) worked absolutly fine. My problem is for non-native games (I took portal for example, but Euro Truck Simulator 2, The Elder Scrolls V: SKyrim, Alien:Isolation and Elite: Dangerous had the same problem: double-image.) I've bought VorpX and tried Tridef3D (same with both) but the only type of game i can play on my DK2 is demos.. - ThreeDeeVisionSuperstarHello Skyrogue,
It sounds to me like you are having issues with 3rd party injectors like VorpX, which wouldn't be an 'Oculus Display Bug' but more of a configuration issue with the third party injector.
Euro Truck Sim 2 has built-in Rift compatibility, so you do not need a third party injector to use the Rift with it (use Extended mode and select Rift in graphics options). If you need help getting certain games to run on VorpX, I would try VorpX forums or look for threads in the Oculus forums regarding Vorpx or the game you are trying to get working. The General Development area is probably not the best place to look for help setting up third party injectors to run games that don't have native Rift compatibility. - skyrogueHonored GuestWhat do you mean by Oculus Mode on graphism options? I don't find it..
My problem is valable with Euro Truck too. (supposed to be an oculus-compatible game)
I've tried everything (steam trick: -oculus , beta: oculus VR...)
Every Single time the same, for each game, exept 5 mins démos... - ThreeDeeVisionSuperstarIt sounds like you still need to opt into the beta. Follow these instructions here:

After your game updates to the Oculus beta version, you should be able to use the -oculus steam load option and you should have a display selection in the graphics options. I can't give you more specifics because I am not at my gaming computer at the moment. If you need more specific details, I will be able to supply them later today.
Only games that are compatible with the Rift will work with the Rift without some sort of third-party injector. Even games that are considered compatible have some setup required. The DK2 is a development kit, so some extra setup should be expected. Half-life 2 (and episodes), Team Fortress 2, Elite Dangerous, BlazeRush, Radial-G, and Toybox Turbos are all full games that are compatible with the Rift and should be relatively easy to set up.
