Oculus DK1 for Windows and Unreal 4.11.2

Hi everyone, I'm trying to run the Oculus DK1 on windows 7, but I have the next problem. I had installed the 0.4 Runtime version and it was working on Unreal 4.7 Now I'm using Unreal 4.11.2 and the Oculus not working anymore. I've Updated the Runtime version to 0.8 and nothing.

What do I have to do? Because the last Runtime Version is made it for DK2 and it didn't worked for my DK1 either.

Thanks!

  • Oculus are already talking about DK2 not being supported, although it does work with the latest software release. I'm afraid DK1 support is out of the question, and would advise you to get CV1, or get a second-hand DK2 at the very least. It's likely that anything you develop on your current hardware will not be compatible with CV1.

If you have Windows7, the upgrade to Windows10 is still free (for a limited time), so you should consider that as well. I clean installed W10 from a USB drive, used my W7 product key to activate it, and it's actually damn good. WAY better than installing W7 from scratch... 233 UPDATES!?! The only downside is that you won't be able to use the same product key to install W7 again, you'll need another one.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it is what it is, I'm afraid.
