Oculus Ready PCs?
I am excited about the forthcoming Rift and will stay up tonight (in Japan) to order one.
I also want to order a suggested PC, and see there are 2 at
https://www.oculus.com/en-us/oculus-ready-pcs/
Will these 2 PC's be 'set up' so the RIFT is plug n' play?
Or should I buy the relevant PC at Amazon and set up the Rift myself later?
Examples at
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... =ROG+G20CB
Thank you.

Alienware PC´s are too expensive, you only need i5/i7 CPU and GTX 970, in the future you can add another 970 for SLI and you are good to go for upcoming games that requires more HW requirements.
Cheers! - blanesRising StarIf you can afford go straight to a 980ti otherwise a 970 is still a good choice. I had 2 x 970's for a year and traded them for a single 980ti couple of months back and very glad I did because overall I get better performance without the hassles of trying to get SLI running 100% - just my opinion and other users may disagree 8-)

I know 980 ti is the best choice but to start with a small budget a 970 will be ok for now.
Im getting my self a 980 ti cause I can afford it and later this year will get the new Nvidia PASCAL GPU chips. - Felix12gHonored GuestI'd take a look at building a computer about the time your CV1 actually ships. New hardware and prices will be out by then.
- FUNmvallanceHonored GuestThank you for your advice everyone.
- BurrowsTDHonored GuestFirst post so apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. I am a TD at a 3d studio and want to know if there is a pc available which is oculus ready and will allow me to use apps such as Max, maya, zbrush, Unreal 4 etc so that we can develop projects with the new technology. We have a reasonable budget per machine (4 required) so any information would be welcome.
I have seen the Alienware pc and the Asus, has anyone used these in conjunction with the above apps?
Thanks. - obzenExpert ProtegeA couple of artists are on alienware at work. Old ones, i7 920. Some are on custom builds. There is really no difference. It all depends on you IT, company policies, and you feel about Dell / HP support.
Also, from what I can see, the vast majority are on NVIDIA. And, these software love RAM. 16GB a must, as well as SSD.
