Oculus Rift back plate IR lights not providing full 360 degree head tracking

My rear sensors are on (I've checked using my webcam IR). When I turn 180 degrees in Elite Dangerous the display lightens to show that the rear IR lights are not being picked up by the sensor in front of me. What should I do ?
