Oculus Rift integrations into CryENGINE 3 FreeSDK.
Hi Community.
Just wondering about any chances of getting integrated Oculus Rift support for this engine. Is anybody working with fitting this into the CryENGINE 3 FreeSDK? I am unsure if this can be achieved as the sourcecode provided for indie developers are restricted to GameDLL.
The demand is increasing each day and there is a thread on Crytek's developer forum CryDev located here : http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=355&t=94231

- VoidraxExplorerThere's also a thread about this in the Oculus Development forum, although it should probably be here.
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=327 - batigolHonored GuestI'm trying to integrate Oculus to CryEngine.
Finally I could see but not exactly, I saw 2 objects separately. It look like the side by side stereoscopic setting no match with Oculus device.
Does anyone know exactly StereoScreenDistance in Oculus? I try to set it to 0.06 (6cm <- I measure by myself :)) but Cry just support minimum value is 0.1.
StereoEyeDistance = 0.06 look like reasonable and I already check in Unity3d camera :mrgreen: - UmranHonored GuestHow did you get Free SDK to output SBS? (what version are you using)I've tried several versions and I can't get it to output SBS no matter what!

Try this link http://freesdk.crydev.net/display/SDKDOC2/Stereoscopic+Rendering - UmranHonored GuestThanks.... but that's the first things I tried, changing the stereo variables don't appear to do anything(I can't get SBS to work)

r_stereoMode = 2
r_stereoOutput = 4
Remember turn on the PC mode.
if still can't, please give me a screenshot of your setting - edulinaresHonored GuestProtip: if you can get the engine rendering correct stereoscopic 3D, you can use Deskope to edit and play the games on the OR
See here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1505 - batigolHonored GuestGreat apps :)
- WhiteThunder94Honored Guestnot bad! i try it thx to post :)
- AleshExplorerApparently the latest version of Cryengine 3.5.3, released 2 days ago has official support for Rift now. Did anyone manage to get it working? It should work with:
r_StereoOutput=7
But I can't seem to make it work. I'm running it in side by side mode and all I see is each half of the screen displaying one color that changes as I blindly move through the level. Almost like it's picking one pixel color per eye and filling each half of the screen with that color.
Anyone had any luck?
