Oculus Team not try their best to keep what they promised
They promised keep the price as low as they can , make the price everyone affordable.
But today they set the price at USD$599.
but as I see, it is not only because of the Oculus Hardware improvement.but bundling of
(games and xbox wireless controller).
I'm just feel sad of that. :(

- I guess even the hardware alone would cost more if they needed to make any money. The xbox wireless controller and games only cost a handful dollars when bought by OEMs, so having in mind the Rift itself would cost more than 599 without Facebook, just be happy to even have some giveaways. If you don't need that xbox controller you can probably sell it for more than the 5$ extra cost that the rift could be cheaper without.
So please go whining somewhere else, we had this for a whole week in every VR blog on facebook already. Maybe if you look there you find someone with the same financial problems and a desire for VR, so you can go whining together...
