Oculus video cameras (180degree)?
Hi,
We are keen to start filming content. I have many questions.
What is the best way to start filming 180 degree (or 360) Oculus video?
Are there any cameras on the market currently available to buy or coming Jan, Feb 2015?
If not are there any tutorials on how to create a camera?
Where can I learn about the post production process?
Where can I learn about the details how the rendering works? How does a non 3D camera trick the eye into seeing depth??
Thanks!

- LeLouch_SuzakuHonored GuestIts not exactly what you might be looking for, but he did an interesting AR setup using two regular webcams. You might be able to to get something out of the parts where he mentions how he processes the two 2d cameras to create the virtual 3d image/video stream.

This GoPro array also looks interesting but I don't know how well the format is excepted.

I'm looking to get a camera for putting on my motorcycle while I ride around town. I plan to create content in practice for a ride around South America. I follow this thread with interest.
There's also \/
Google Jump (high end):

Theta (low end)

Bubl Cam (Mid range)

With all this being said the reason I'm leaning toward the Kodak is because I know I can upload it to youtube with 360 video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9trecXlEJWI). I don't know which camera is most VR friendly.
Perhaps I'm in the wrong place. I'm more interested in film making than CG. Is there a better place for me to go?
Thanks tons :)
