Hi there, thank you for your feedback, we understand that you would like to know how to turn off an ambient sound on when using your PC through quest link. There are some suggestions that you can try to help resolve the issues:
- While in the PCVR "home" environment (pronounced: the void) where the ambient music loops, open a window to your Desktop from the Dash and turn the volume up a little bit (it will help in the next steps).
- Open Volume Mixer: Right-click the Sound icon on the Windows taskbar and select 'Volume Mixer'.
- Find the "Dash" application that is registering audio, it is different from the "Headphones (Oculus Virtual Audio Device)". In the mixer, locate the slider for "Dash" and adjust the volume to 0.
- The ambient dash music should now be gone and sound from everywhere else should still work.
If the sound still persists, please try reboot the headset as the steps below:
- Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- If your headset doesn't automatically turn back on, press the power button until your headset has turned back on.
For more details on how to restart your headset, please see this link here.
Please could you also submit the bug report, if you still experience the issues, so our engineering team can work on the issue. Please see this link here on how to report a bug on Meta Quest.
We hope this can resolve your request, and we hope you have a nice day!
