Preferred player and format for view S3D footage on DK2
Hello,
Can someone please help me figure the best player, format and video specs for easily viewing S3D 360 live action footage on the DK2? We're currently in the testing phase of a camera rig that we've built and we're having a some issues viewing it correctly. Basically, we're camera/3D nerds and still learning the post/developer part of the backend.
I'm sure it's probably in here somewhere if I dig deep enough, but if someone can point me in a direction I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks
Josh

- jfilmallHonored GuestThanks MediaVR, but can you expand on that a little more? What's is the best file format (.mp4, .mov)? And, what are you finding as the best frame size (as in pixel size 2160x1080)?
I guess that probably depends on the player used?......
Thanks
Josh - mediavrProtegewhat do you mean live action -- like live streaming - or live actors
mp4 is pretty standard -- maybe 1920 by 1920 for over/under 360 equirectangular - jfilmallHonored GuestI'm just referring to anything thats not CG, basically anything shot with a camera (not live streaming though).
Thanks
Josh - vivareyHonored GuestYes- I'm also curious on recommended video format and specs, and advice on players. More than just video codec are questions about video frame rate, compression techniques and bitrate, resolution, etc. I'm new to this community. Hi everyone!
