Razer Hydra 2
So the hydra has been out of stock for a couple of months now. So even if we receive the Rift we still can't develop proper VR content (just non-VR adaptations, which won't get us anywhere). I think you need to fix this as soon as possible, can you please get Razer to add a 3rd sensor for the head to the hydra and mass produce it?
Also, internally you should fix IPD storage and foam padding velcro.

- MikeArms24Honored GuestHydras are in stock at amazon right now. Also, I think you should ask Sixense about adding the extra sensor at the sixense.com forums. They have been very responsive so far in my experience, and seem to realize the future of their motion controllers is definitely aligned with Oculus.
- rupyHonored GuestOf course I could find a hydra but it's out of stock at razer!
I really don't want a hydra without headsensor.
The point being, I'm sure it's already in the works, it's just poorly timed.
It's sad when carmack still talks about optical positioning though... - theletterJHonored GuestIf you want a hydra you can buy mine for ~$70. I've used it a total of three times and I have it listed on ebay. If you don't want to deal with ebay give me a PM and we can work out something.
Edit: The Hydra was sold! - svenProtegeWhen I ordered my Hydra from Razor (with the VR promo) it was out of stock, however I received it within 2 weeks anyway. So they are receiving new stock every now and then.
- TylakHonored GuestA company called Beccela's Etc was selling new Hydras on ebay for $50, free shipping inside USA. Of course they sold out already. Seems like a really low price. But they're %100 rated, so I guess we'll see.
Sorry if that's irrelevant.
I second the notion that this is probably better discussed in the sixense.com forums. Which I have never visited. But I will register there today to get a head start on hydra integration in Unity.
This is my first post on the OR forums, BTW! (ordered a rift this week) :) - drashHeroic Explorer

Just FYI, you can find Sixense's free Hydra plugin on the asset store! - TylakHonored Guest

Thanks drash. My hydra should arrive next week and I'm going to use my rift wait time to get familiar with input and some rendering/interaction techniques I've had in mind. I already have Unity pro, so I'm hoping that hydra and rift support won't be too challenging (it seems like "anyone" can do it no?). - rupyHonored GuestOk, so I guess I'll have to order a Hydra in the meantime, still officially out of stock, and I would like a new one, which is like 150$ on amazon now!... I wish you (oculus, razer and/or sixense) could tell us something?

- rupyHonored GuestNow it says SOLD OUT in the razer store... common guys, I just got the mail about my rift shipping and still no position controller. It's not cool to stop selling a product for 2 months and not announce any replacement, specially when your product is the cornerstone of a future industry!?
