Rift demo thinktank
There's no real thread here yet where people can suggest random ideas they have to devs, now there is.
This is just meant for rough ideas that can be used to showcase in a demo or something, no full games or anything.

- A game based on skyscraper construction (girder placement and riveting and such) might be cool. Just don't look down...
- Thinking of this made me think of this old barclay advert of going all throughout a city on a waterslide could be a fun showcase.

Cave traveling?
Campfire at nice lakeside?
Matrix? :) Jumping over the buildings.
Mountains and waterfalls? Best places of the world - Pyramids, Grand canyon, Everest etc.
3D models of real people will be great. So you could walk to them and look at from near distance.
It's like museum of wax sculpture.
Would be great to add friends to this demo with simple camera and autodesk 123 or something like that.
Actually you could publish own model to web site and click link to display it in oculus. - California Games VR: Surf, snowboarding, skateboarding, fly suit base jumping, paintball, etc.

Ideas: Most people don't get to travel and see the world, so anything there is a good idea. And then take that travel to the next level, space. I think exploration will be a big deal in VR. This includes trying different things like space flight, race cars, airplanes, etc."geekmaster" wrote:

That makes me think of those guys that climb TV transmission towers without any safety lines- Rare natural phenomenon?

I think there is athing for aurora boriales, but meteoric shower would be nice :)
how about seeing if there are any live panoramic view of some sort, that could be cool, but veeeery bandwidth hungry :S
