Rift Display Mode - Direct HMD crashes

Have the same issue on a desktop PC:
• Windows 7
• Oculus runtime installed: 0.4.4
• Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1245 v3 @ 3.40GHz
• Graphic or video card: NVIDIA Quadro K600
Running in extended mode is fine. But running in direct mode crashes. On the error report I have this on top:
nvd3dumx.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module nvd3dumx.dll at 0033:dc223aef.
