I have an MSI Gs63VR Stealth Pro, with a GTX-1060. It has the same result in the compatibility test, but as far as I can tell it runs the Rift fine. I have no prior experience with the Rift, but there seem to be no problems running demos. The only catch is that in the menu system displayed by the Rift, there is also a large message displayed saying that the graphics card does not meet specification.
I wonder if this is based on an actual performance measurement, or if the software just has a database of capable cards, which hasn't been updated to include these relatively new NViDIA graphics cards.
One other problem I've had is that the display in the RIft often just goes black if they've been sitting for a while, and I only seem to be able to get a display back by disconnecting the HDMI cable from the computer, and plugging it back in. I took me a while to discover that.
