Sensor location?
Does anyone know the precise location of the IMU inside the Rift body? I need to align the center of rotation with some external sensors.
I suppose I could always open the Rift and measure, but I'd rather not do that unless necessary.

Behind the display against the panel.
Is this what you're looking for or have I missed the point? :D
EDIT: That YT link was supposed to play at 6:40. - kwaegelHonored GuestYes, sort of, though I also need physical units. :)
Not sure why I didn't think of this first, but iFixit has a teardown image I can use to get relative distances from the edges. I'll convert this to physical dimensions next time I'm in the lab and can measure the case. - FlameHazeHonored Guest

Nice, glad to see you've found a solution. :D - kwaegelHonored GuestIn case anyone else is interested, here are some measurements using the upper left corner (opposite the cable) as the origin:
(over, down)
IMU (53.6%, 27.1%) (91.4mm, 32.3mm)
Magn (49.3%, 27.1%) (84.1mm, 32.3mm)
Guesstimate the depth as 4mm from the front cover.
Assuming a width of 170.5 mm (6.725"), a height of 119mm (4.69"), and lots of rounding errors. :D
