Sixense Wireless Motion Tracking System!
UPDATE: The announcement has been made official, as indicated by the new thread over here:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2052
I just received "secret insider" knowledge of a HUGE Sixense announcement coming in 1/2 hour!
New Razer Hydra, or MakeVR? We shall see very soon!
Time to start pounding those F5 web browser page refresh keys?

Yes, it just came up. You posted this here while I announced it in a new thread:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2052 - AtariHistorianHonored GuestBeat by one minute, and a new thread with an image, no less. I have been shamed, good sir. I have been shamed.
- Felix12gHonored GuestGuess it was just one more refresh away.
Bit confused on the wording here:Sixense will release development kits that will support three wireless motion trackers and will include fully playable controllers compatible with games and applications developed for existing Sixense-powered products, including the Razer Hydra.
That sounds to me like it'll have support for 3 additional sensors in addition to the two controllers? - AtariHistorianHonored Guest
- Either three or five trackers, depending on how you interpret the wording (two of which are handheld)
- If three trackers, two slots are left open for fresh replacement batteries (odd unless body clip is long-life)
- Apparent USB base station in front
- Backwards compatibility
- Releasing a dev kit first
EDIT: Typo - Either three or five trackers, depending on how you interpret the wording (two of which are handheld)
- DrSnakeProtegeAwesome! Gotta buy this right away!

The backwards compatibility is important. So it looks like these should work with existing Razer Hydra software then (as should be expected).
I have requested more information on pricing and availability, so I will keep you posted on whatever I am allowed to publish. Thanks. - Either three of five trackers, depending on how you interpret the wording (two of which are handheld)
- CapyvaraExplorerVisible: Asymmetrical left/right, wireless, lot of buttons.
Speculation: Taticle feedback? The handles looks like this tech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=610iTKlYBVM (or may be just batteries)
