Perhaps these two parallel threads can be folded together, sorted by post timestamps?

The STEM seems to be a body clip on, if so it will remove the need to stay in a absolute position in relation to the base.

Could also be a pedometer for tracking things like walking/jogging/jumping/crouching + positional direction.

wireless would def be good since with Rift + headphones we really have enough wires as it is. Id love to get one soon but kinda tapped out on funds right now but maybe in a month. if anyone is getting this soon please post your impressions and the main question of course would be if it solves the "drift" issue a lot of people have with the regular hydra. We shall see!

When it is available ill get the the second its possible .. :D Will definetly post impressions (i already like the hydra at this moment so it must get better!)

If I were to guess, I bet its going to be at the $300 pricepoint like the Rift. If it works better and has more bells and whistles similar to the Rift, that pricepoint will be pretty incredible. $300 is the sweet spot where gamers are all in.
